I love that Jesus knew our hearts would be troubled. And I love it even more that he gave us the answer for that. Instead of trusting in well-laid plans, favorable circumstances, or good results, he tells us to trust in him.
If your heart is anxious today – if things aren’t shaping up the way you thought or hoped they might – don’t worry. And don’t let your peace or your happiness depend on results. Instead, stake your hope in who God is, and turn Christ’s words into a prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Don’t let my heart be troubled today. Help me to trust in you – in your character, your faithfulness, your power, and your love.
In Christ’s name, Amen.
The experience is simply amazing! The smell is captivating and so indescribable.
I was at the licensing of my mother
becoming a Reverend when the smell was very faint at first, and within a short
period of time the smell was overwhelmingly delightful and powerful. I hungered for more. I was unsure at first if I was truly smelling
so I asked my mother and her friend if they could smell a “vanilla” like fragrance
in the air and they could not. In a weird way it was like being slightly “drunk
or zombie” like. I am truly thank for
the Holy Spirit’s visit!
Thank you for sharing your experience! I am hungering for more of the Holy Spirit! 🙂
