I love summer. ALMOST as much as I love these little people. And I am posting this pic (taken last week, thank you @annesley_bc) so that every time I see #pumpkinspice 🙄 or something about #sweaterweather 🤦‍♀️ I can pull it up and stare at my phone and be happy. ☀️☀️☀️

Psalm 1 promises that we are blessed - HAPPY - when we delight in God's law, meditating on his word day and night.

When we hear the word "meditate," we might think of someone sitting peacefully, focused on a single object or thought. But that's not what God is really talking about here.

In Psalm 1, the word "meditate" is the Hebrew word "yeh-gah", which can mean to mutter, mumble, or even talk out loud with other people. That's the Psalm 1 kind of meditating, processing what you read in the Bible and talking about it so we can better understand Scripture's power to shape our friendships, our parenting, our marriage, our life!

Happy Monday, Friends! I hope you'll come across a verse or a passage this week that you can tuck into your heart and share with a friend - "meditating" together on God's love, his power, and his faithfulness.

I love reading to my grandkids (especially when it's the same Bible I used to read to my kids when they were little). But this one backfired when I forgot to factor in Grayson's new favorite game: Hide & Seek.🙈
(He is pretty confident that, once he picks his hiding place, Jesus will never be able to find him. 😂)
