Robbie and I were not sure we believed the hype about grandkids. How could they be THAT much fun?

Well, now we know. 😉

And we're entering a whole new prayer lane as we bring these kids and their needs before God - and as we pray for our own adult children as they navigate the parenting world.

I'm sharing a little bit about how I am praying for these little ones on the blog today, along with a few prayer prompts you can borrow - the link's in my bio if you want to read. And if you've got grandkids and have ideas to share, I'm all ears! 🥰

A glorious Easter Sunday with traditions old and new, from The Egg (He is Risen!) to a highly competitive Santa-vs-The Bunny family relay.

@rbtberndt didn't exactly follow the rules, @charlieblakeley just wanted to beat his own mom, and at least one athlete choked under the pressure and wound up in tears.

Sissy didn't hesitate: "Psalm 144:12," she said. "May our daughters be like pillars carved to adorn a palace."

I LOVED that image, when Sissy explained all the reasons she chose this prayer, I quickly grabbed my my journal and started taking notes:

🏛️ pillars are beautiful
🏛️ pillars are designed to hold weight
🏛️ pillars must be anchored to a strong foundation

Every one of our daughters, over the course of her life, will be required to hold up a lot. Every woman reading this is holding something weighty right now. To do our work well, we must be anchored in - and DEFINED BY - a foundation bigger and stronger than we are.

Friends, you are beautiful. May you - and your daughters - be like pillars carved to adorn a palace: lovely and strong and anchored in the firm foundation that is Jesus. 🙏

TECHNOLOGY is the number one reason parents say that raising teens is more challenging today than it used to be.

I get that. The sheer number of social platforms - not to mention the speed with which teens abandon one and pick up another - can feel overwhelming. But God doesn't intend for us to parent from a place of worry or fear. His plan is for our families to thrive!
